A hungry heron was caught on digicam gulping down a 20-year-old pet fish.

Photographer Gary Clarke recorded the footage exterior his dwelling in Liverpool after the chook snatched a Golden Orfe from his pond.

Gary, a self-employed kitchen and toilet fitter, mentioned: ‘We will need to have had the fish for over 20 years going off the scale of it. 

‘So it was fairly painful watching the chook devour the Golden Orfe.
